With the worlds economy changing students must be highly skilled and highly educated to be a powerhouse in the 21st century global economy, and it all starts in the classroom. Beginning with high-quality early childhood education and continuing through high school and beyond, we must ensure that every student has the opportunity to get the education needed to compete for the good-paying jobs of the future. In addition, Obedient 2 Christ Ministries wants to ensure that we are doing all we can to help students who want to go to college or trade school has the chance to do so. Thats why one demension of our ministry is our premier scholarship fund. We have multiple scholarships that are not just obtainable by students with high GPA's, but yet some for the average student. Our goal is to increase the number of children attending college or trade school. With our ministry in the begining stages we don't have much money to give away, but every little bit counts. Down below are a list of our current avalible scholarships, details on how to apply, what you need to qualify, and what the value is of each. Don't wait apply now!
The Obedient 2 Christ Scholarship
· Minimum G.P.A. of 3.5
· 200 hours of community service (minimum)
· 4 years in a row served in some type of church ministry
· 3 letters of recommendation (1 from your pastor, 1 from a teacher, and 1 from a relative)
· Descriptive essay typed, double spaced, 14pt font with a minimum of 500 words no more than a 1,000 words choosing a character from the bible and describe in your own words how they were obedient to Christ
· 250 word letter explaining why you feel you deserve this scholarship
The value of this scholarship is $1,000.00
The Thompson family gift card is $250.00 a gift card to Wal-Mart for students who will be staying on campus. The card can only be used to purchase toiletries such as toothpaste, toilet paper, mouthwash, ect... The card is specially monitored so there is no way you can purchase anything other than toiletries.
The De'Ontay LaMar Thompson Scholarship
· No minimum G.P.A. required · 150
hours of community service or currently hold a full time job, working
full time hours and have had this position over 1 year · 2
letters of recommendation ( for students you need 1 from a teacher, and
1 from a relative; for adults you need 1 from your employer and 1 form
a relative) · Descriptive essay, typed, double spaced, 14pt font with a minimum of 500 words no more than a 1,000 words describing what you plan on doing once you obtain your degree · 250 word letter explaining why you feel you deserve this scholarship The value of this scholarship is $500.00
| The Al James Terrell Scholarship
· Minimum G.P.A of 3.0 · 100 hours of community service (minimum) · 2 years in a row served in some type of church ministry · 3 letters of recommendation (1 from your pastor, 1 from a teacher, and 1 from a relative) · Descriptive essay, typed, double spaced, 14pt font with a minimum of 500 words no more than a 1,000 words describing how your pastor has had a positive influence on your life · 250 word letter explaining why you feel you deserve this scholarship The value of this scholarship is $500.00

The Adriane Naomi Thompson Scholarship
· No minimum G.P.A. required · 150 hours of community service or currently hold a full time job, working full time hours and have had this position over 1 year · 2 letters of recommendation ( for students you need 1 from a teacher, and 1 from a relative; for adults you need 1 from your employer and 1 form a relative) · Explanatory essay, typed, double spaced, 14pt font with a minimum of 500 words no more than a 1,000 words explaining why it is important to attend college · 250 word letter explaining why you feel you deserve this scholarship The value of this scholarship is $250.00
