About The Ministry
| Founder/ President of Obedient2Christ Ministries, Minister Christophere LaMar Thompson serves on the ministerial staff at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church of Pontiac, Michigan. His zeal, energy, commitment and passion to reach the un-churched and untouched youths of today, closely parallels that of his senior pastor, Rev. Al James Terrell. A passionate, fearless, committed student of the Bible, Chris has dedicated his life to serving God both in the pulpit and in his every-day life. Minister Thompson is passionate about sharing Gods word with energy and understanding. Chris is very compassionate, empowering, and enjoys encouraging others. His commitent to preaching the gospel has led to him starting one of college radio's best Christian radio shows Unfolded Gospel. The success of Unfolded Gospel led to Minister Thompson landing a job with WWSJ Joy 1580, which is Mid Michigans premier gosepl radio station, which is heard wold wide. Minister Thompson is also a visionary, and he's not intimidated by the unknown, instead, he steps out in full faith, challenging others to trust in God with their minds, bodies, and souls. Minister Thompson was born in Pontiac, Michigan and was raised in a single parent home. He is a three time City Wide Choir Union scholarship recipient that holds a certified business certificate in business management from Oakland Technical Center. Minister Thompson currently attends Destiny School of Ministry where he currently holds a gpa of 4.0. His goal is to obtain his doctrine degree in theological studies. He is actively involved in local community programs, lectures, and he preaches and teaches at retreats, conferences, juvenile detention facilities, and worship services throughout the country. His ministry is multi-faced, and provides hands-on, life-changing service, coupled with uncompromising, anointed teaching and preaching. Being a troubled youth himself Minister Thompson truly has a heart for children, teens and also young adults. He desires to show them that no matter what obstacles you face, you can do all things through Christ who gives you strength. As God continues to expand his borders, Minister Thompson plans to stay humble, work hard, and continue to learn from others. Chris is happily married to Kristen Thompson, his first true love. They gave birth to their first born child Adrian Naomi Thompson on August 12th 2008. Hallelujah! God has truly been good to them over the years and has taken elemetary school sweethearts and brought them together as one, for kingdom building. God we shall praise you all the days of our lives! |

Obedient 2 Christ Ministries (O2CM) was established to provide financial support, leadership, career opportunities, and life counselling to underprivileged, goal-orientated youths and young adults of the world, with the purpose of combating against juvenile delinquency and community deterioration.

Overview
Obedient 2 Christ Ministries (O2CM) is a Michigan Domestic Non Profit Organization organized in August 2008, and deemed lagitiment by the State of Michigan in September of that same year. O2CM was established to become part of the solution to the problem of juvenile delinquency, dropout rates among teens, criminal activity, community deterioration, and most importantly those who have not given their life to Jesus Christ. The way O2CM is helping is by providing scholarships for young adults and high school graduates, in depth bible study, local and national community programs which will be used to rebuild communities, and by the preaching of God’s word.
In our efforts to accomplish this, O2CM is eagerly anticipating a partnership with the State of Michigan, School District of the city of Pontiac, and many other major political parties and local governments. Once established O2CM plans to implement our programs in schools to help enrich and improve the quality of community life and enable our youth and young adults to maximize their potential as individuals and as contributing members of the community, as well as faithful servants for the Lord. Obedient 2 Christ Ministries has developed a unique scholarship program which will allow many youths and young adults a chance at post high school education. Also O2CM provides community building programs which will help Pontiac and surrounding area citizens succeed.
Future All Stars
The Future All-Stars is a five-month basketball league that consists of the following elements: training camps, a Future All-Star draft, season games, playoffs, a championship game and an awards banquet. Future All-Stars emphasizes the need for education and therefore requires a mandatory study session for all players and students participating in the Future All-Stars. Team participants will be required to participate in community service events within the community. Future All-Stars will positively develop our youth and our community.
Cans For Christ
Cans for Christ is an innovative community outreach program designed to help raise money for young men and women who are under privileged and cannot pay for college on their own. The Cans For Christ program provides free food, games, music, scholarship information, banking tips, and bible teaching to all those who choose to attend. The cost of admission is just a bottle or a can. However the individual who donates the most in bottles or cans receives a very nice prize. This event is sponsored by J&E Beauty Salon and Phatheadz Barber Shop. All funds raised through this program go towards O2C Ministries scholarship fund.
Jammin' With Jesus
Jammin' With Jesus is Obedient 2 Christ Ministries biggest event of the year. This is an annual summer concert, awards banquet,church service, and dinner for the entire community. Focusing on the youth, this event features some of gospels youngest most popular artist in the industry, recognizes those in the community who are working to make a better community for the youth, so they can recognize different outlets to help them, and also providing materials to all students for the upcoming school year. The Bonanza features many guest choirs, preachers, local and national celebrities, business opportunities, great prizes, wonderful dinner, and fun for all who attend.

· To reach out to troubled teens and young adults all over, to show them the path of righteousness which Jesus spoke of.
· To provide scholarships for promising high school graduates that can’t afford to pay for college.
